Continental Airlines this year will be celebrating its 71st Anniversary. Conceived in the heyday of aviation, Continental has grown from being a single-engine Lockheed aircraft to commanding a fleet of Boeing 777 aircrafts. Continental Airlines prides itself in providing quality service to all of its passengers. In recognition of this stride, in 2004 Continental Airlines was recognized for its exemplary service record by being named "Airline of the Year for 2004" by the OAG. It was the only North American Airline left as a candidate for this award, beating British Airways & Singapore Airlines for the title.

Continental Airlines also won two other key awards from the OAG. The award for "Best Executive/ Business Class" and the award for "Best Airline Based in North America " also went to Continental Airlines. After 70 years of service, Continental Airlines is still going strong with excellent service and the fares to match.
